Detroit--Crain Communications Inc., publisher of Automotive News and BtoB, said Friday that it will launch Die Automobil-Woche, a German-language newspaper that will cover the new-vehicle industry, including automakers, suppliers and franchised dealers. The launch is timed to coincide with the Frankfurt IAA Motor Show this September. Initially, Die Automobil-Woche will publish every two weeks for distribution to automotive and dealership executives in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland. It will cover the whole range of the vehicle business, from product development and manufacturing to sales, marketing, distribution and dealer service. Its Web site will provide breaking news and automotive industry data. Die Automobil-Woche becomes the fifth publication in the Crain Automotive Group.
