Crawford back as head of IDG Online; McCracken returns to ‘PC World’

Published on .

Framingham, Mass.—Colin Crawford, who was recently promoted to CEO of IDG's PC World and Macworld from senior VP-online, is back as head of online, this time with the title of exec VP-online. The move follows a widely reported riff between Crawford and Harry McCracken, editor in chief of PC World, over blurring of editorial and advertising. McCracken, who resigned from his position last week, is now back in the same position. IDG is conducting a search for a new CEO for the PC World and Macworld brands, according to Howard Sholkin, director-communications & marketing programs at IDG.
