'CRN' names editor in chief

Published on .

Manhasset, N.Y.--CMP Media's CRN, a weekly publication covering the computer industry channel, announced that Michael Vizard, former editor in chief of International Data Group’s InfoWorld, has been appointed editor in chief of the magazine. Like most tech publications, CRN has struggled with double-digit advertising revenue declines over the past two years. Vizard spent seven years as editor in chief of InfoWorld Media Group. Prior to joining InfoWorld, Vizard had been an editor at PC Week, Computerworld, Digital Review and EBN. He replaces Kelley Damore, who left to attend the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
