Current Analysis study says XML a dud

Sterling, Va.--A new report by Current Analysis Inc. says that extensible markup language, a computer language said to hold the promise of b-to-b collaborative commerce, has been stymied by multiple standards, poor testing and competing vendors. The report, authored by analyst Shawn Willett, said corporations that stuck with their traditional electronic data interchange systems are looking like winners as XML has hit the wall. But companies should continue to experiment with XML because of its long-term potential, the Current Analysis study concluded.
