Cut to the Chase: Las Vegas

Published on .

Marketer: Las Vegas
Agency: R&R Partners, Las Vegas
Market: Sales managers
Quick Chase: These guys look like they just lost their best friend. They are a sales team—not a bachelor party, says the headline—and they've got their game faces on. Sending a sales team to a meeting or a trade show in Las Vegas, which once so aggressively marketed its naughtiness, is a tough sell to upper management in these sobering times. That's why Vegas takes a moment to explain that it's “a serious place for business” and that it's a great value when compared with other cities. This kind of repositioning strikes us as a tall order.
Clue: Just don't let the CEO—and certainly not Bob from accounting—know what really happened there. Viva Las Vegas!
