Melville, N.Y.—Cygnus Business Media confirmed Tuesday that it has recently cut its staff by 30 people, reducing its total work force to 440 employees. The company said it “suspended” publication of its photo magazines, PTN and Studio Photography, and the affiliated Web site Imaginginfo.com. The company said that eight to 10 staffers were affected by that move. A spokesperson said the company is “exploring other options” for these photography products. The other job cuts stem from “consolidation” of the graphics and production groups as well as cuts in the exposition and interactive groups.
