Cygnus Publishing-with 48 trade titles, 17 custom publications, 17 trade shows and 60 Web sites-is a division of Westport, Conn.-based Cygnus Business Media, which was bought in May by a new player in b-to-b, CommerceConnect Media Co., for $275 million.
Reiff was promoted in November after spending more than a year as president of Cygnus Custom Marketing.
"We started [custom publishing] before it was all the rage," Reiff said.
"We want to stay focused in markets in which we have an in-depth body of knowledge. In addition to custom publishing, those markets include photography and imaging, construction, fire rescue and securities."
