Watertown, Mass.—Cymfony, a PR media measurement company, has repositioned itself to focus on tracking the intersection between traditional and social media and provide "market influence analytics."
As part of the change in direction, the company has renamed its "marketing Insight" blog, now known as Influence 2.0, and launched a wiki that it says will be dedicated to discussing the intersection of these media. Wikis are Web sites that allows users to add and edit content collectively.
The idea is to start a dialogue that will involve industry professionals, including competitors, who will contribute ideas to the ongoing discussion, said Jim Nail, chief strategy and marketing officer at Cymfony.
The discussion will be rolled out in booklike chapters, beginning with Monday’s "The Dawn of the Age of Influence 2.0," which can be accessed through Cymfony's Web site, the blog and the wiki.
