D&B expands in Italy

Published on .

Short Hills, N.J.--Business information giant D&B Inc. announced it has acquired controlling interests in three Italian real estate data companies: Bologna S.r.l., Datanet S.r.l. and RDS S.r.l., for a total of about $8 million. The cash deal was completed on April 30. D&B acquired Bologna S.r.l. and Rome-based Datanet S.r.l. outright, and a 51% interest in RDS, which is based in Naples. The three companies, whose data is used in Italy by banks, notaries, real estate agencies and corporations for lending and risk management decision-making, will operate as part of Data House S.p.A., an information provider D&B acquired last August.
