Go Daddy boosts mobile offerings via M.dot acquisition

Published on .

Scottsdale, Ariz.—Web hosting company Go Daddy has acquired M.dot Inc. and with it a mobile app for small-business website creation and management. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The M.dot app uses preloaded templates with such features as business location, driving directions and tap-to-call to create mobile websites. It also includes a blog feature and integrates with social networking sites. M.dot, founded in June, will operate out of Go Daddy's new Sunnyvale, Calif., office, which opened Monday.
