'The Daily' to debut on Groundhog Day

New York—News Corp. confirmed its plans to launch The Daily, an iPad-only newspaper, on Wednesday. The publication will be formally introduced at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York at 11 a.m., according to invitations sent to the media.

The invitations read: “News Corp. Chairman-CEO Rupert Murdoch invites you to the launch of The Daily with Apple's Eddy Cue, VP-Internet services.” A subscription to the The Daily will cost 99 cents per week, according to various reports.
