Omaha, Neb.—, a new sales lead database company formed by Infogroup founder Vinod Gupta, launched this week with a national advertising campaign on such TV outlets as Bravo, CNBC, ESPN News, Golf Channel and Fox News as well as on Oprah Radio and ESPN Radio.

A Database101 television spot asks viewers, “Is the recession hurting your sales?” and offers sales lead contacts for 10 cents apiece regardless of the number of names, which is counter to the industry standard of offering contacts priced by the thousand. As an incentive, the company is offering the first 100 contact names for free. offered no information about which agency helped developed the campaign, but when he headed up Infogroup, Gupta developed all his ads in-house. offers its contact names for download through the Internet only, and is marketing itself primarily to small businesses and sales professionals. Subscribers can choose the type of sales prospects they want based on demographics such as age, income or location.

The company offers a live chat feature with a representative to help select the right leads, as well as such other services as data enhancement and e-mail marketing.
