Why: Following months of anticipation, Carey brought Condé Nast Portfolio to market in April. Condé Nast’s first foray into business media, the magazine (350,000 circ.) went to a monthly frequency in  September. While reviews so far have been mixed, Carey has vowed to grow the publication to a circulation of 650,000 within the next five years.
