Dell plans Netherlands expansion

Hoofddorp, Netherlands--Dell Computer Corp. Thursday confirmed its plans to build a 21-site network of sales offices, manufacturing facilities and call centers across Europe. It has selected KPNQwest, a European Internet and data communications provider, to spearhead the development of a telecommunications infrastructure that links all of the offices. The Round Rock, Texas-based computer company claims that the network will be the first known high-speed Internet protocol virtual private network of its kind in Europe.
