Dell selects WPP for advertising

New York—Dell Inc. has selected WPP Group to handle its $4.5 billion advertising account, following a seven-month review. The other finalist competing for the account was Interpublic Group of Cos. Under the agency relationship, WPP will work with Dell to create a new agency to handle Dell’s global marketing duties, including creative, media planning, public relations and CRM.
