Delphi to join Big Three's Covisint

Delphi Automotive Systems, a $29 billion automotive industry supplier, announced Thursday it plans to join Covisint, the e-marketplace being formed by Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp., DaimlerChrysler and other automotive industry giants. Delphi, Troy, Mich., intends to use Covisint as the primary exchange for conducting electronic transactions with its customers and suppliers, said Richard Radecki, corporate director of the Delphi e-business program office. Delphi had previously announced it was exploring Internet exchange options with five other auto industry suppliers, including Dana Corp. and Motorola.
