Carol Stream, Ill.—Theresa LaFontaine, who will officially step down as CEO of Allured Publishing on Thursday, told BtoB on Monday that she plans to acquire b-to-b titles and run her own company. With her private equity backer, Chantilly, Va.-based BIA Capital, LaFontaine said she plans to buy a property or properties with $2 million or less in annual cash flow. "I’d like to have [the new business] up and running within six months," she said. Janet Ludwig will succeed LaFontaine as CEO at Allured.
