LSI's Web site revamp caters to clients

Life Science Insights (LSI), a market research and analysis provider for the technology industry, in January replaced its original brochureware site with an interactive Web site that provides clients with easy access to research, industry happenings and LSI analysts, said Paul Hands, LSI's VP-sales.

LSI spent four months designing and testing the new site, which has sophisticated browse and search capabilities. "Our site is designed to enable each of our audience types ... to access research applicable to their business landscapes," he said.

LSI designed its navigation application in a tab format to allow users to find what they need easily. "Our motto is `Three clicks or less!"' Hands said.

Customers can find tailored information by creating an account in My LSI, a page containing the latest research related to users' subscriptions or published by their favorite analysts.

Visitors are especially pleased with a design feature called Focus Areas, which provides industry-specific information, Hands noted. In the future, LSI hopes to provide an online newsletter customized for individual topics of interest.

Since the relaunch, the company has seen an increase in the number of customer registration leads coming from the site. LSI's previous site generated only about five customer leads each month. The company has already received 25 sales leads within the first several weeks of the launch. "We've received positive feedback complimenting the site as dynamic, well-organized and user-friendly," Hands said.
