Chicago—Acxiom Corp. announced on Thursday that e-mail marketing company Digital Impact, acquired last year by Acxiom, will now be known as Acxiom Digital. The announcement was made at MarketingSherpa's Email Marketing Summit 2006.
The change in name represents the integration of Digital Impact and its search engine marketing business, MarketLeap, with Acxiom Corp. Kevin H. Johnson, VP-products and marketing for Digital Impact, becomes president of Acxiom Digital. William Park, Digital Impact CEO, will now become business organization leader of Acxiom's InfoBase data business, Acxiom Direct, and Acxiom Digital.
As a part of the rebranding, Acxiom Digital will be going to trade shows under the new brand, reaching out to its client base and, Johnson said, “We’ll be doing some advertising around our brand.”
