Direct mailers sponsor survey on 5-day mail delivery

By Published on .

Washington, D.C.—The Mailers Technical Advisory Committee and the U.S. Postal Service are asking direct mailers to take an online survey expressing their opinion about the USPS’ plan to move to five-day delivery and processing.

The committee, which includes printers, catalog houses, magazine publishers and fulfillment service bureaus, said, “This survey should be considered critically important in determining the very near-term future of the U.S. Postal Service and the mailing industry.”

The USPS projects that moving from six- to five-day service, if approved by Congress, will save more than $3 billion annually. The online survey, which closes Sept. 11, is available at www.surveymonkey.com/MTAC5D.
