Direct marketer adds online customer service

San Bernardino, Calif.--Locus Direct Marketing Group, which provides direct marketing services to mortgage companies and others in the financial services industry, said Tuesday that customers can now monitor campaigns online. The company purchased software and professional services from Sagent Technologies, Mountain View, Calif., to launch its secure Web database, which allows marketers to assemble their own direct mail lists, develop media strategies and track campaign efficacy. The move is an example of an established direct mail company pushing toward Internet services--many of the customer service applications mirror direct marketing management applications provided by Internet start-ups.
