Direct Marketing Club of New York awards Silver Apples

New York—The Direct Marketing Club of New York presented its annual Silver Apple awards to six marketers and one company on Friday, honoring each for 25 years or more of contributions to the direct-marketing industry.

Taking individual honors were Betty Anne Cooper, senior VP-director, strategic services with MRM Worldwide; Marjorie Kalter, clinical professor, New York University; Jon Lambert, CEO, Acton International; John Papalia, president, Statlistics; Markus Wilhelm, partner, AKS Marketing & Media; and Caroline Zimmerman, president, Zimmerman Agency.

A Gold Apple was given to James W. Prendergast, president of J.W. Prendergast & Associates, for his years of service to the industry.

In addition, a Corporate Silver Apple was presented to Penton Media.
