Direct marketing hiring slows

Published on .

Owatonna, Minn.—Direct marketing hiring is beginning to slow down, according to Bernhart Associates Executive Search in its quarterly direct marketing hiring trends survey. There was a 6% drop in the new hire index, according to President Jerry Bernhart. Sixty-six percent of respondents said they plan to add to staff this summer, down from 72% in the spring. Bernhart's survey also revealed that just two companies out of 118 respondents reported plans to reduce headcount in the next three months.
