Direct marketing strong in fourth quarter

New York—Average direct marketing sales increased 9.4% in the fourth quarter compared with the final quarter of 2003, according to the Direct Marketing Association’s Quarterly Business Review. The DMA said all direct marketing segments—marketers, agencies and suppliers—experienced positive revenue and profits. The DMA predicted continued growth this year.
