MeritDirect wins CMP lists
MeritDirect announced it has won list management for CMP Media's more than 150 subscriber lists and databases of 2.3 million business information and technology decision-makers. It will assume management as of Jan. 1. MeritDirect will also begin managing CMP's entertainment media lists totaling more than 200,000 postal names and more than 130,000 e-mail names. The lists were previously managed by Rubin Response.
RMG Connect acquires Direct.com
RMG Connect Worldwide, the global relationship agency of JWT, announced the acquisition of Direct.com, a provider of integrated marketing communications services. The purchase price was not disclosed. RMG Connect said the acquisition will enable it to provide more technology services and Hispanic marketing expertise to clients. Miami-based Direct.com, which will retain its name, provides direct marketing, interactive marketing, technology development and merchandising services.
Harte-Hanks opens Manila office
Harte-Hanks, a direct marketing company, announced the opening of a marketing operations office in Manila, the Philippines. The office will provide contact center, data entry, mail tracking and data management services to North America and other English-speaking markets. In other news, Harte-Hanks announced that its data quality service, Harte-Hanks Advanced Data Quality, has added the U.S. Postal Service's LACSLink. The product.provides direct mailers with an automated method of accessing and obtaining updated addresses in situations where a rural-style address has been changed to a city-style address.
