Published on .

New York—The Direct Marketing Association announced it has established two new exec VP positions.

Dr. Ramesh Lakshmi-Ratan, senior VP-membership and market development, was promoted to exec VP-COO. He will be responsible for leading education and events, membership development, marketing and communications, international, member councils, nonprofit, research & market intelligence, interactive units and the newly formed sales and business development unit.

DMA is conducting an executive search for the newly created position of exec VP-government & consumer affairs.

DMA President-CEO John A. Greco Jr. said in a statement that consolidating its leadership and operating structure will better reflect and deliver on the goals of the group's strategic plan, adopted in January 2005.
