New York—The Direct Marketing Association said this year’s ECHO Awards competition drew a much larger percentage of integrated campaigns than in past years.

“This year saw more comprehensive campaigns that not only integrated direct marketing efforts across multiple media but integrated direct marketing with other disciplines as well,” said Sid Liebenson, chairman of the 2006 ECHO committee and exec VP-director of marketing at Draft, a marketing services agency, in a statement. “We saw campaigns that applied direct marketing to everything from traditional channels like direct mail and print to Internet, point-of-sale and even outdoor advertising.”

ECHO Awards will be handed out at a ceremony Oct. 17 in San Francisco at the DMA’s annual conference.
