DMA issues online marketing guidelines

New York--The Direct Marketing Association released guidelines for commercial e-mail and posting of Web site privacy policies. The guidelines set a minimum standard for how commercial e-mail can be sent from marketers to consumers, and cover such issues as access, security, accountability and protection of users under 13 years of age at marketers' Web sites. The guidelines can be viewed at www.the-dma.org.
