New York—The Direct Marketing Association has named Linda Woolley president-CEO. She had served as acting president-CEO since May, following the resignation
of Larry Kimmell.
Woolley had previously been exec VP of DMA's Washington operations since 2008, overseeing the association's advocacy and lobbying efforts.
In that role, she led the formation of the Digital Advertising Alliance, a group of marketing and advertising organizations promoting self-regulation of behavioral advertising and online data collection. Her efforts as acting president have continued to stress advocacy, with the launch in the fall of the Data Driven Marketing Institute, which promotes DMA's views about online data collection.
