DMA President-CEO John Greco unveiled the new logo in a keynote address. The all-blue logo replaces the longstanding red, white and blue logo. Greco said the new logo’s “contemporary look says we’re an organization that is open to new ideas.”
The DMA’s new tagline is: “The power of direct: Relevance. Responsibility. Results.”
Greco also announced the DMA has launched the Affiliate Network, which will unite local DMA chapters with local independent direct marketing clubs. He said the Direct Marketing Club of New York last week agreed to join the network.
Greco also touched on several direct marketing-related issues in his keynote speech, including privacy concerns, data security and postal reform.
In the area of privacy, the DMA recently partnered with the Federal Trade Commission on the “OnGuard Online” program to help publicize best practices for safety on the Web, and it recently called on Congress to extend the FTC’s authority to deal with cross-border fraud given the amount of spam coming from outside the U.S.
