London-Dmg world media, the London exhibition company behind more than 260 conferences, said Thursday that it plans to sell its business media division, which is focused on building b-to-b marketplaces for the chemicals and pharmaceuticals, furniture, marine and electrical industries, among others. The company said the unit is profitable, has a staff of about 300 people, and generates annual revenue of approximately $43.8 million. Dmg, which has spent about $189.8 million buying 22 companies over the last two years, said it will focus its operations after the sale on home, gift, art and antiques, sports, oil and gas and transportation shows.
