Why:Hawk has been instrumental in the integration of KnowledgeStorm, a content site for IT professionals that TechTarget acquired last year. While the large IT marketers that have been TechTarget's core customers are increasing their spending despite the tough economy, KnowledgeStorm had a higher percentage of small and midsize companies that were "spending more cautiously," Hawk said during a recent earnings call. However, he expects these advertisers to increase their lead-generation spending once the economy improves.
