Don Pearson, exec VP-sales at e.Republic, is a 20-year veteran of the company and has led the Government Technology portfolio of brands as group publisher since 1999.
In his efforts to build e.Republic's business, Pearson has followed the strategic vision the company set for itself over the past two years.
“We're taking a platform-agnostic approach that goes beyond print and online media to provide a 360-degree view of what our audiences and customers need,” he said.
One innovation has been the relaunch of the Navigator online business intelligence tool, a subscription-based service for companies that want to sell products and services to decision-makers in state and local government, education and emergency management. Navigator debuted in 1998.
“It now has 10 times the amount of information; the accessibility of the information is easier by orders of magnitude; and it is now mobile-device friendly,” Pearson said.
In the mobile space, he said, all e.Republic websites will begin employing responsive design this year, enabling content to be rendered on mobile devices as well as on desktops.
Pearson said e.Republic is innovating in social media under the direction of New Media Director Kristy Fifelski, creator of the GovGirl.com video blog, who joined the company in September.
