New York—Crain Communications Inc.'s Advertising Age and Creativity announced Monday that publisher Scott Donaton is leaving the company to become publisher of Time Inc.'s Entertainment Weekly. His last day at Crain will be Nov. 30. David Klein, VP-publishing and editorial director of the Ad Age Group, will serve as interim publisher of Ad Age. "We're exploring our options" regarding a replacement for Donaton, Klein told BtoB, which is also published by Crain. Donaton joined Ad Age as a media reporter in 1989. He was promoted to editor in 1998 after three years as executive editor. (Prior to that, he had a short stint as editor of TV Guide Online.) He was promoted to associate publisher of Ad Age in April 2006 and named publisher of Ad Age and Creativity in February.
