New Yorkā€”Jill Manee, who has been publisher of Advertising Age and the Ad Age Group since 1999, will retire at the end of this month, Crain Communications Inc. announced Thursday. Scott Donaton, who has been associate publisher of the Ad Age Group since last April, will succeed Manee. Manee joined Crain in 1996 as advertising director of Ad Age and was named publisher three years later. She became a VP in 2000. ā€œDuring the past year, I have transitioned many of the publisher duties for the Ad Age Group to Scott Donaton as part of succession plan for Ad Age,ā€ Manee said in a statement. Donaton served as editor of Ad Age from 1998 to 2006. He was executive editor for three years before that. Crain Communications also publishes BtoB.
