Doremus/'Financial Times' study finds webcasts are top online app at work

New York—The top online application for senior executives at work is watching webcasts, followed by viewing online videos, according to a new report from Doremus New York and the Financial Times. The annual “Decision Dynamics” report was based on an online survey of more than 500 global senior executives conducted during the first quarter. The study found that 75% of senior executives watch webcasts while at work, and 73% view online videos at work. Other top online applications at work including visiting community sites (61%), reading blogs (60%) and listening to podcasts (49%). The top online applications for senior executives at home are viewing online videos (84%), watching webcasts (72%), reading blogs (72%), listening to podcasts (56%) and visiting social networking sites (54%). The study also found that 80% of senior executives regularly use wireless Internet at home.
