DoubleClick's losses narrow

New York--DoubleClick Inc. reported a pro forma first-quarter 2001 net loss of $10.5 million, down from $13.2 million a year earlier. First-quarter 2001 revenues were $114.9 million, up from $110.1 million a year ago. The online ad network and direct marketer reduced its second-quarter forecast, citing the soft online advertising market. It said 2001 revenues would be between $425 and $450 million, down from $505.6 million in 2000. DoubleClick has $831 million in cash and marketable securities, versus long-term debt of $257 million.
