DoubleClick unveils Motif Streaming Video

Published on .

New York—DoubleClick announced the release of Motif Streaming Video, a video service that is part of the company’s DART Motif rich media ad serving software.

Motif Streaming Video supports up to two megabytes of high-quality streaming media, offers automatic bandwidth detection and streams video directly to the user’s browser without caching.

The service also features new reporting metrics, including video plays, video completions, pauses, stops, restarts, mutes and average video view time.

According to market research firm Dynamic Logic, online video ads are more effective than general online ads in raising brand awareness, ad awareness, message association, brand favorability and purchase intent.

Publishers using DART Motif include CBS, Cox Interactive Media, MSN, MTV Networks and NYTimes.com.
