Published on .

New York—Dow Jones & Co. Monday announced it has acquired Betten Financial News BV, a Dutch-language news service covering the corporate sector in the Netherlands. It is Dow Jones’ first acquisition since the company was purchased in December by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.

Financial terms of the Betten deal were not disclosed.

Betten, which provides news and information to professional and private investors, media and nonfinancial companies, is widely known in the Netherlands under the name Betten Beursmedia News. Its coverage will be combined with Dow Jones Newswires’ Dutch-language financial news service, Dow Jones Nieuwsdienst.
