Dow Jones acquires ‘New England Business Bulletin’

Published on .

New York—Dow Jones & Co.’s Ottaway Newspapers subsidiary has agreed to buy the New England Business Bulletin, a monthly business newspaper serving southeastern Massachusetts and eastern Rhode Island, from the New England Publishing Group.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will most likely heat up the competition between Dow Jones and the City Business Journals Network, which publishes 68 local and regional business publications across the U.S. New England Business Bulletin, a 32-page tabloid, has a circulation of 45,000.
