Dow Jones launches next generation of business intelligence app

New York—Dow Jones & Co. announced Wednesday that it has launched the latest version of its g2 on-demand business intelligence application.

The new version includes b-to-b social networking tools to enable organizations to identify and qualify leads, as well as to connect with companies and executive contacts through technology that crawls the Web and maintains databases in real time.

A g2 database of almost 4 million companies and 9 million executives serves as the starting point for relationship mapping, according to the media company. It also integrates with LinkedIn contacts.
