New York—Dow Jones & Co. Thursday reported 2006 revenue of $1.78 billion, up 6.6% from $1.67 billion in 2005.
Earnings rose to $104.6 million, up 8.8%.
The company also released ad revenue figures from the fourth quarter. Ad revenue for the flagship Wall Street Journal print edition rose 5.1%, as a strong increase in advertising yield more than offset a 1.4% decline in ad linage.
Dow Jones’ online ad revenue grew 23% in the fourth quarter, while paid subscribers to WSJ.com increased 5.5% to 811,000.
