Published on .

New York—Dow Jones & Co. on Thursday named marketing veteran Paul Bascobert CMO of the Dow Jones Consumer Media Group (CMG), which includes The Wall Street Journal and WSJ.com, effective immediately. He is responsible for growing circulation for both properties. Bascobert joined Dow Jones in March 2006 from Exchange Solutions, an Internet marketing firm, where he led the media practice. He was most recently senior VP-operations of the Consumer Media Group, where he was responsible for printing, distribution, fulfillment, IT and customer service for the Journal and Barron's. The appointment comes amid a series of executive changes a week after News Corp. officially took charge of Dow Jones.
