Dow Jones unveils new organizational structure

By Published on .

New York—News Corp.'s Dow Jones & Co. has announced a new organizational structure that combines its consumer and enterprise businesses.

The consumer group had included The Wall Street Journal and the enterprise group had included such businesses as Dow Jones Newswires and Factiva.

“This structure will provide the focus to make us faster and better than our rivals at identifying and meeting customer needs,” Dow Jones CEO Les Hinton said in a statement.

With the change, Todd Larsen, who had been COO of the consumer media group, will become president of Dow Jones, and Stephen Daintith, who had been CFO of Dow Jones, will become COO.

Clare Hart, who had been president of the enterprise media group, will leave the company.

“Clare has been a dedicated and much-valued executive in the two years since I joined Dow Jones. I have greatly valued Clare' s advice, support and hard work, and wish her well in the future,” Hinton said.
