Dow Jones’ Ventures group to explore new products

New York—Dow Jones & Co., publisher of The Wall Street Journal, is recommitting to its Ventures group. The company said Friday that Ann Sarnoff, president of Dow Jones Ventures, has been given the green light to create new consumer-driven products and businesses. The group will consider acquisitions and will work the Dow Jones' Consumer Media Group, including the Wall Street Journal Digital Network, to develop new businesses. Dow Jones Ventures was established in June 2006.
