Drexler named chief executive at Optimedia

New York--Michael Drexler has been named CEO of ad agency Optimedia USA. Drexler succeeds Gene DeWitt, who is leaving to become president of the Syndicated Network Television Association. Drexler had been exec VP in the New York office of MediaSmith and has also worked for agencies Bozell and Foote, Cone & Belding. Optimedia is part of the Zenith Optimedia Group, which is owned by Cordiant Communications Group and Publicis Groupe.
