DuPont consolidates with Ogilvy

Published on .

Wilmington, Del.--DuPont announced it has selected Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, New York, as its lead communications agency.

Ogilvy won out over McCann-Erickson Worldwide, which developed DuPont’s “The Miracles of Science” tagline, and other agencies.

DuPont said it is the first time in its 200-year history that it has consolidated its marketing communications across its businesses and corporate brand with a single lead agency.

“We will now have the ability to present all DuPont brands and offerings to the marketplace in a much more consistent, mutually reinforcing and powerful way that contributes to business growth,” said John Hodgson, DuPont exec VP.

The company said it will retain specialty agencies that will work with Ogilvy.
