E-Media names Al Barber president-CEO

Stamford, Conn.--Streaming media company e-Media L.L.C. said it has promoted Al Barber, former COO, to president-CEO. Barber, who spent 27 years at General Electric Co. and was president of CNBC, will focus on the company's business strategy for delivering network infrastructure and streaming capabilities. He replaces founder and former CEO John Engel, who will remain on e-Media's board of directors.
