E-Trade to debut new 'monkey' ad during Super Bowl

Menlo Park, Calif.--E-Trade Group Inc. will debut a new "Monkey" TV ad during Super Bowl XXXVI, for the third consecutive year. The new spot, featuring E-Trade's familiar chimp, is designed to build awareness of the trading company as a financial leader. Following Super Bowl advertising in January 2001, top-of-mind brand awareness for E-Trade increased by 64% in February, according to Diagnostic Research Inc.
