‘The Economist’ introduces series of online debates

New York—Aiming to grow its presence in social media, The Economist has rolled out an online debate series that allows users to vote on the topic at hand. The first series of debates, focusing on education issues and solely sponsored by Intel Corp., will continue into December. The Economist’s Web site attracts about 2.8 million unique monthly visitors.
